FASHION | Sexy Summer Lace Inspiration

Hello Lovlies! ❤️ Yay, it’s officially summer!  Hope the heat has been good to you so far. I was having a discussion with a friend the other day on which season was our favorite. I obviously said summer and his response was winter. His argument: “When it’s cold, at least you can put layers on, but when it’s hot, there’s only so much clothes you can take off.” While that’s true, I disagree. I love the summer season for the fact that you get to wear less layers! Don’t get me wrong, I know you can’t be going out in your unmentionables, but it’s fun to show them off sometimes. I think side-boob is a thing right now, but I just can’t do it. So when I want to wear a top that is low-cut on the sides or backless, I usually opt for a lacy bra to give a pop of sexy.

Lace is usually my material of choice. It’s feminine, elegant, and can be combined with anything.  And when a bit of lace pops out with the movement of your clothes, it can be ever so sexy.  So for the summertime, consider combining lacy pieces that are within the same color palate as your top.  Opt for pieces that are darker shades if you want to make it the highlight of your outfit or lighter shades if you want an elegant understatement.

Spring Wish List

Yay!  Spring is finally here, which means we are officially closer to those endless summer days.  I am so excited for my next vacation.  2016 has started out to be an amazing travel year for me.  First on the list is Hawaii followed by Paris then Greece and maybe even Spain…?  I’ve been so busy preparing to travel, that I thought I would share a few of my spring wish list items that I hope to purchase for my upcoming trips.  I picked all of these accessories from an online shop called SPRING.  Very fitting right?  🙂  This store sells over 850 brands, so you can shop all of your favorites in one spot.

In no particular order, here they are:

scarf shop springover-sized scarf / Eddie Bauer

An over-sized scarf is an essential travel piece.  Light weight materials are the most versatile.  You can use it as a travel blanket on a long flight or a shawl to dress up an outfit at night.

sunglasses shop spring

mirrored sunglasses / Leonard Mask

For anyone that is as obsessed with Pretty Little Liars as I am, you probably already know that Shay Mitchell lives in mirrored sunglasses.  I love this look for vacation.  I don’t know what it is about them, but just looking at these sunglasses makes me want to be sitting poolside sipping a mai tai.

wanderer snap back

snap back / Weekend Society

A snap back is a travel essential.  Especially for when you are on an adventure and don’t want to risk losing your sunglasses, a snap back is perfect for keeping the sun out of your eyes.  I feel like snap backs are so easy to travel with, because when you don’t feel like wearing it, you can just snap it on to your purse strap or belt hook on your shorts.

stacking rings

stacking rings / Mineral and Matter

I dislike traveling with fine jewelry, so I usually opt for simple more inexpensive pieces.  Stacking rings are the best for traveling.  I just love the look.  It screams effortlessly trendy.  And if you lose these rings, who cares?  They usually aren’t that expensive and you can purchase them in large sets.

moonstone on marquise chain

pendant necklace / Marrin Costello Jewelry

For necklaces, I usually try to keep things simple.  Pendant necklaces are very versatile and can be worn dressed down and up.  The simpler the better.  That way, you can match it up easily with any outfit.

I am definitely ready to go on a vacation right about now.  Hope you all have an amazing spring break.  Let me know what’s on your spring wish list.  🙂

OOTD | Spring Forward

Is it spring yet?!  The weather in California seems to be confused lately.  Some days are sweltering hot, while others are gloomy and chilly.  The weekend before last was one of those perfect California winter days though, with the weather right in between.

My cousin and I decided to dress up a bit.  It was her birthday and we were also celebrating Galentine’s Day.  She wore a blue jean dress while I wore a floral winged romper.

OOTD Pasadena

She dressed up her outfit with a vintage purse, a thrift store find, and handmade sandals from Mexico.

I wore my Lucky Brand studded gladiator sandals and small tan Marc Jacobs cross body purse.

We had a great time exploring Old Town Pasadena and ate to our heart’s content.  Check out my previous post to see what we were up to.
