OOTD | Vacation Vibing

Happy Friday lovelies! 💕  I’m currently wishing I was still on vacation or at least planning for one.  Why can’t every weekend be a three day weekend?  The 4th of July can’t come soon enough!  Hopefully you have some fun plans because I’ve got a little something up my sleeve for the week.  😉

Until then, I’ll just reminisce on trips past.  Here is an outfit post from a recent trip to Puerto Rico.  So exactly what does a California girl wear on vacation?  Well an adult onesie of course! (Better known as a bodysuit)  A fanny pack for all of her essentials and worn in comfy flip flops for all that exploring.

The sun the sand and a drink in my hand. Life is good today.

Whoop! Guess all that hair covered the lace from showing in the back.

Tasty treats from the Pineapple Promenade at the 2015 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival in Orlando, Florida

Here’s a look at some pineapple themed treats from the Pineapple Promenade at the 2015 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. The pineapple sriracha hot dog was A M A Z I N G. 😍 My only complaint would be the price for what seemed to be only a 1/4 of a hot dog.  The pineapple dog was a new addition to the menu this year, which I hope they bring back for future events. It was an all beef spicy frank topped with a pineapple slaw and drizzled with a creamy sriracha. It definitely has a bit of a kick to it, but it’s quite delicious. At the promenade, they also sell a violet lemonade, which at first glance may seem out-of-place since it is not necessarily pineapple themed. I first tried this frozen treat last year and was curious as to what it would taste like since I had never tried anything that was “violet flavored” before.  I actually really enjoyed it. It’s hard to describe the flavor but I can tell you it is quite refreshing and pairs nicely with the spicy flavors of the pineapple dog. Another new addition to the menu this year was the sparkling pineapple wine. While the name of the wine enticed me, the flavor was a bit disappointing. I probably should have thought twice before ordering this since I’m not a big fan of wine. Maybe it’s just me, but this wine tasted like a semi-dry champagne with no real hint of pineapple. Perhaps this is considered a delicacy among wine connoisseurs, but I probably won’t be running out any time soon to purchase a bottle. I think I was expecting more of a sweeter flavor that you would get with a Riesling, and perhaps I cut the flavor by pairing it with the hot dog, but I just didn’t enjoy it as much as the other items. Overall, my experience with the treats at the Pineapple Promenade was good and I’m looking forward to the pineapple dog for next year. Or maybe I’ll just try to recreate it if I can’t wait and will let you know how it goes. Oh, and who can forget about the Dole Whips! They even sell them spiked with rum during the festival. Make sure to add those to your list for next year. 😉

Sweet Frozen Adventures around Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida

Here’s a peek of my sweet frozen adventures around Disney World & Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. You’ll notice that a couple of the items from Epcot are seasonal since I purchased them at the pop-up Pineapple Promenade during the 2015 International Flower and Garden Festival (March 4 – May 17). But other than that, you can easily get your hands on any of the other sweet treats if you are ever in either park. Nom nom nom. 🙂 Enjoy!
